The Torre del Vinagre visitor centre, in the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Natural Park, now offers reception and information, a specialised shop and nature activities after the concession to Natura Reptil S.L. for nine years.
The Torre del Vinagre visitor centre, in the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Natural Park, is operational again. Visitors will find reception and information services, a specialised shop and a programme of nature activities. This was explained by the Regional Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, Fina Martínez, during her visit to the facilities.
What you can do
The programme includes interpretive hiking, themed workshops, activities linked to traditional gastronomy and proposals for schools within the 'Naturaleza y Tú' programme. The offer is completed with interpretive visits and products bearing the Parque Natural de Andalucía brand.
The centre is located next to the A-319 road and has more than 1,600 square metres dedicated to environmental interpretation, visitor services and tourism services.
The concession
The service concession was processed by the Agencia de Medio Ambiente y Agua de Andalucía (Amaya) and corresponds to the company Natura Reptil S.L. for a term of nine years and an estimated business volume of 1.6 million euros. According to the regional minister, the contract regulates the provision of services following the closure of the previous operator at the end of summer 2025. In the period between that closure and the tender, the centre reopened with Amaya's own resources to provide information and advice about the park.
Works under way
Energy efficiency and sustainability works are under way: comprehensive renovation of the roof, installation of solar panels, a biomass boiler and an electric vehicle charging point. The Museo de la Caza and the interpretation area are also being adapted, with the creation of a zoo and a multi-adventure park, and the improvement of the Los Rodeos recreational area to expand parking and access.
Other tenders
In the area, the management of the Punto de Información de Cazorla and the operation of 4x4 vehicle routes have been awarded, with projected revenue of 1.28 million euros. In addition, another contract is out to tender for two lots of 4x4 routes in the Sierra de Segura and the Sierra de las Villas, with expected revenue of 313,200 euros.
Present at the visit were the territorial delegate for Sustainability and the Environment, Ana Mata; the head of the Natural Environment Management service, Javier Ávila; the director-conservator of the Natural Park, Jesús Quesada; and the provincial coordinator of Amaya, Luis Ángel Ranchal.
