The CCOO union section in the Environment and Water Agency (AMAyA) calls on the Ministry of Sustainability and Environment to apply the professional career to its staff, more than ten months after the General Board agreement.

·

The CCOO union section in the Environment and Water Agency (AMAyA) has asked the Ministry of Sustainability and Environment of the Junta de Andalucía to implement the professional career for the staff of this entity, which is an own means dependent on that department. The union considers this implementation urgent and warns that, if it does not receive a response within a short period of time, it will take action to achieve the agreement.

An agreement from November 2025

CCOO recalls that the Junta agreed with CCOO, UGT and CSIF on November 26, 2025 to implement measures to improve public employment in development of the Andalusian Public Function Law. That agreement included a Professional Career complement to promote the horizontal career of the staff of the instrumental public sector, among which is the AMAyA staff. The union notes that the application of that agreement is already a reality for the staff of the Andalusian Emergency Agency (EMA) and recalls the administration's commitment to apply in AMAyA terms similar to those agreed in said agency.

More than ten months of waiting

«We do not understand the delay in the times and the lack of progress in the processing of the AMAyA file, more than 10 months after the ratification of the General Board agreement by the Governing Council», they have warned from CCOO. For this reason, the union section demands that a specific proposal be transferred to the corresponding negotiating body that can be discussed and allows working on a document in terms substantially similar to what was approved in EMA. CCOO stresses that time is pressing and that the patience of both the staff and the union representation «are reaching their limit». The organization has asked the Ministry to propose a calendar and provide a document with a proposal that allows accelerating the procedures to reach a satisfactory agreement before the end of 2026. «There are additional funds for this, as set out in the agreement of November 26, 2025», the union has stated.

What the union asks for

The CCOO union section in AMAyA calls on the Ministry of Sustainability and Environment to implement the professional career for the agency's staff, to transfer a specific proposal to the negotiating body and to set a calendar to close the agreement before the end of 2026.
